This Privacy Policy applies to angelasauceda.com (the "Site"), owned and operated by Angela Sauceda, doing business as Lost Angeles Studio ("I," "me," or "my"). It describes how I collect, use, and protect information when you visit the Site, contact me through it, or inquire about my services.
By using this Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. What Information I Collect
Information You Provide Directly
When you use the contact form, book a discovery call, or reach out via email, you may provide your name, your email address, your professional role or company (if you choose to share it), and any details you include in your message about your project or story. I only collect information you choose to give me.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, certain technical information is collected automatically through Wix and standard web analytics tools, including IP address, browser type and version, pages visited and time spent on the Site, referring website or search term, and device type. This information is used in aggregate to understand how visitors use the Site. I do not use it to identify individual users.
3. How I Use Your Information
The information you provide is used solely to respond to your inquiry, schedule and conduct discovery calls or project conversations, follow up on an existing conversation or project inquiry, and improve the Site based on aggregate usage data.
I do not send unsolicited marketing emails. If I follow up after an initial inquiry, it will be directly related to the conversation you started.
4. Cookies
This Site uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — primarily through Wix's platform infrastructure. Cookies may be used to keep the Site functioning correctly, collect anonymous analytics data about Site usage, and remember your preferences across visits.
Most browsers allow you to control or disable cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may affect some Site functionality but will not prevent you from accessing content or submitting a contact form. I do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data to third parties.
5. Third-Party Services
Wix — This Site is hosted on Wix.com. Wix handles form submissions, site analytics, and hosting infrastructure. Wix's own privacy policy governs their data handling and can be found at wix.com/about/privacy.
Scheduling Tool — If you book a discovery call through a scheduling link, that tool may collect your name, email address, and calendar availability. Please review the privacy policy of any scheduling tool you use to book time with me.
Substack — My newsletter, Angela from Lost Angeles, is hosted on Substack. If you click a link to subscribe, you are entering Substack's platform, which has its own privacy policy and data practices.
Google Analytics — The Site may use Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
I do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing purposes.
6. How Long I Keep Your Information
Inquiry and contact form submissions are retained in my email inbox for as long as they are relevant to a potential or active project conversation. If you ask me to delete your information, I will do so. Aggregate analytics data is retained by Wix and Google Analytics according to their own retention policies and cannot be used to identify you individually.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to request access to any personal information I hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of any follow-up communication at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact me at the address listed in Section 9.
California Residents (CCPA) — If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. I do not sell personal information.
EU and UK Residents (GDPR) — If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to processing of your personal data. The legal basis for processing your data when you contact me is legitimate interest.
8. Data Security
I take reasonable precautions to protect your information. Contact form submissions are transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections via Wix. I do not store payment information on this Site. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.
